Hospitality

One of the wonderful things about coming to Galmi is the hospitality.  They really know how to make you feel welcome and wanted.  There is a sign on your door when you arrive, they arrange meals for the first few days, there are instructions laid out for you in  your cabin, they even offer to open up the store if you need to get something early. They also help you get to know people in the community and look after your first few meals.  So far, I have broken bread (there is bread here but I haven’t had any yet) with the Megills, the Wai Chows, and the Prices.  Tonight it is the Johnstones.  I guess it helps until you start ordering delivery from the locals that come by asking for your samosa and barbecue chicken order
New Generators

I do need to make a correction from my previous post.  The generators are here.  The LIFT team from Ireland is here now to hook them up.  LIFT stands for Labour In Faith & Trust.  From their web page:
Our aim is to help skilled & unskilled Christian volunteers to form teams who assist Christian mission organizations around the world to complete essential construction projects & medical projects.

Cable Spools

As I said last year, the hospital requires a whole range of individuals. Not only all the medical personnel, but translators, teachers, construction workers, etc etc.  There is  work here for everyone!

This evening is Church at the CC (Community Centre).  I have not had a chance to practice my flute, but maybe next week I will play.

From Today's Sermon:

Romans 14:7-8New International Version (NIV)

For none of us lives for ourselves alone, and none of us dies for ourselves alone. If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.
